Thanks to the 17,000 Associates who are making choices based on our Five Principles, our business is thriving. This success enables us to make a difference for our planet, through environmental stewardship and education programs, as well as for people, by supporting the wellbeing of our local communities and advancing oral health initiatives around the world.

Today, the oral care benefits of sugar-free chewing gum are widely accepted and endorsed by leading authorities, such as the FDI World Dental Federation and more than 25 national dental associations, in addition to being included in the health policy platforms of several national governments. We bring this message to life in the way we market our products, engage with dental professionals and partner with academic institutions and independent researchers to further explore the oral health benefits of chewing.

We’re able to support the work of nongovernmental organizations through the Wrigley Company Foundation. Since its founding in 1987, the Foundation has donated more than US$55 million to charitable organizations around the world such as Save the Children and the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). Over the past three years, the Foundation has worked in partnership with the China Youth Development Foundation, in partnership with Give2Asia, to build 12 “Hope Schools,” which have benefitted more than 6,500 underprivileged children across eight provinces in China.

We’re committed to educating consumers about responsible disposal of our products and support initiatives that help people to respect their surroundings. We fund community education and litter-prevention campaigns in Australia, China, Germany, Ireland, the U.K. and U.S., and we partner with organizations, such as FEE, Keep Australia Beautiful, An Taisce and Keep Britain Tidy to extend our impact. In the U.S., we support the mission of Keep America Beautiful as an original and founding member.

As we run our day-to-day business, we do so with an honest commitment to the planet. We seek to use fewer resources to run our factories, select ingredients and packaging materials that help us reduce our impact and encouraging a more sustainably-minded workplace. Many of these efforts are driven in partnership by our Sustainable in a Generation teams and Go Green – an Associate-driven program aimed at making our sites more sustainable.

Through these and countless other examples, we’re committed to putting our Principles into action to keep our future bright.
